OUR STORY

In 1994 we arrived at the firm conviction that we could contribute to change our country, making Danper a company that would stand out not only for the high quality of its products and its high level of competitiveness, but also for its integrity, for empowering its women, for its fair and equitable treatment of its workers, and for raising their, their families and their communities’ quality of life.

BEGINNING OF OPERATIONS

We started operations with our first canned White Asparagus processing plant in Trujillo.

1994

HACCP CERTIFICATION

We were pioneers in obtaining HACCP certification, a preventive system that guarantees product safety.

1994

INTEGRAL HEALTH CENTER

We pioneered Peruvian agribusiness in creating an Integral Health Center, designed to provide free medical care for our workers and their families.

1997

INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

We were pioneers when we put into practice our “Integrated Management System”, with certified sustainability guidelines and economic, social and environmental standards.

1999

US MARKET ENTRY

Our canned Green Asparagus arrives in the United States market.

2003

MUCHIK FARM

We added our second farm, “Muchik”, stretching on 3,000 hectares. Thanks to its strategically privileged location in the Moche Valley, this agricultural and industrial complex plants, grows, harvests, processes and exports fine fruits and vegetables to the six continents.

COMPOSITÁN FARM

Acquiring “Compositán” -our flagship estate- allowed us to build a vertically integrated operation. Irrigated with water from the Santa River, in La Libertad, its 2,200 hectares grow the world’s best asparagus all year round.

GLOBAL GAP CERTIFICATION

We won the GLOBAL GAP certification, a set of internationally recognized agricultural standards of Good Agricultural Practices.

2006

INDUSTRIAL FRESSH PRODUCE PLANT

We built our industrial plant to process fresh asparagus in Muchik, La Libertad.

2007

OHSAS 18001 CERTIFICATION

We were the first Peruvian company to obtain the OHSAS 18001 certification, which guarantees monitoring and reduction of occupational risks, and protecting the safety and health of our people in a safe work environment.

2007

DANPER AREQUIPA

We consolidated our decentralized expansion in the north, center and south of the country. Located in the Majes Valley, our industrial plant allows us to bring artichokes to the whole world throughout the year.

2009

CHINA MARKET ENTRY

Our fresh green and white asparagus entered the Chinese market, through Shanghai city.

FROZEN PRODUCE INDUSTRIAL PLANT

We built our frozen food processing plant, within our industrial complex in Trujillo. With a total area of 1800 m2, it can freeze daily produce to fill a full container.

2011

DANPER LA VENTUROSA

La Venturosa, an agricultural and industrial complex located in the Chepen Valley. With 3,000 hectares and an extensive processing warehouse, here we produce and pack several grape varieties and Hass avocado.

2014

"ALLIANCE FOR WATER STEWARDSHIP" CERTIFICATION

We obtained the most important worldwide certification in sustainable water management. We are the first Latin American company and the only one in Peru to obtain this certification. Our Compositan farm is the only asparagus farm worldwide to have this certification.

2015

DANPER OLMOS

We added Danper Olmos, our most recent farm. Irrigated with water from the Huancabamba River, in the Lambayeque department, its 1,000 hectares produce the best Hass avocados, in addition to the grapes and asparagus we also grow in northern Peru.

READY-MEAL PLANT

We built our Ready Meals processing plant. Our innovative and tasty menus quickly made us the most important Peruvian exporters for this category of products.

EDGE CERTIFICATION

We are the first and only Peruvian company to have obtained the most important certification in the world for our Gender Equity efforts in the workplace.

2017

VITORIA PROJECT

We started the project with the aim of promoting Gender Equity in the communities where we operate.

2018

BLUEBERRY INDUSTRIAL PLANT

We built our blueberry processing plant within our Muchik estate. This modern plant allows us to pack about 80MT daily in different formats.
