  • Danper is the only Peruvian company in its industry holding SA 8000 global certification, one of the most demanding human and labor rights standards.

Danper once again climbs to first place in the agro-industrial sector for its unmatched capacity to attract and maintain talent, announced consultancy Monitor Empresarial de Reputación Corporativa (Merco) last Thursday. This achievement comes at the same time as Danper’s first place within its category in the latest editions of Merco Reputación and Merco Responsabilidad Social.

“Since our foundation, 27 years ago, we have put a priority in our people’s care and progress. We create decent jobs for more than 13,000 people who are our company’s most precious capital, providing them with fair treatment, equality of opportunities and permanent training for their personal and professional development”, says Rosario Bazán, DANPER’s CEO.

Since the last ranking’s edition, Danper company has climbed 25 positions, from position 60 to 35. It is also the first company in the ranking whose headquarters and main operations are in the interior of Peru.

“Our business approach places people front and center of our organization. Our customers are at the heart of our strategy and creating Shared Value is the basis of our management model. This approach considers that developing our Human Capital is the only sustainable source of competitiveness”, shares Rosario Bazán.

Danper’s good practices abide by global standards that make it stand out in its sector. It is the first and only Peruvian agribusiness company to hold EDGE global certification for gender equity and the SA 8000 certification standard, the most demanding in its field for compliance with the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights and the labor rights included in ILO Conventions.

“Creating Shared Value is at the core of our company. Through this model we connect the economic efficiency and profitability of our investments with the progress and care of our people and our communities. Thanks to it, and by remaining firm to our principles and values, we have managed to preserve the social peace that we require for our operations to be sustainable in the short and long terms”, adds Danper’s CEO.

Danper supplies the most prestigious supermarkets around the planet with nutritious food solutions such as fruits, supergrains, gourmet, ready-to-eat (prepared) and organic foods, in four processing options: canned, fresh, frozen and dry grains. The company runs production operations in several states across Peru, including La Libertad, Lambayeque, Piura, Arequipa, Ica, Cajamarca and Amazonas.
