DANPER DONATES COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT TO REGIONAL HOSPITAL TO BRING COVID-19 PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES CLOSER

23 August, 2021

An initiative by Danper agro-industrial company seeks for coronavirus patients to enjoy the company of their loved ones by telephone during their hospital stay for treatment.

With the support of modern communication equipment, patients fighting Covid-19 at the Trujillo Regional University Hospital can stay in touch with their families thanks to a recent donation by Danper agro-industrial company.

The company donated the hospital 13 radio communication equipment, 6 ambient sound equipment for music therapy, 10 loudspeakers, and other technological items that will be installed in the Emergency, Tents, Medicine, Surgery and Pediatrics areas.

The donation seeks to contribute to the recovery of Covid-19 hospitalized patients. Family members, even if they cannot visit them, will be able to keep abreast of the health of their loved ones through the communication equipment provided.

Considering the isolation of Covid-19 patients and its impact on their emotional health, the donated equipment will also be used to play motivational music, and messages of peace and strength during treatment of patients.

Additionally, the gift included two computers and one printer for the hospital’s social service, four reclining chairs, one electric stove, thermos bottles, pots, kettles, and other basic items for proper patient care.

This effort joins other initiatives by the company this year, such as the donation of oxygen cylinders and concentrators, masks, disinfectants, and food for communities in its  areas of influence, as well as logistical support throughout the region in support of vaccination campaigns for the population, among other support actions to help cope with the health emergency.
