DANPER LAUNCHES DIGITAL EDUCATION SOLUTION FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN IN AREAS WITH LIMITED INTERNET ACCESS

Last Tuesday, Danper agro-industrial company signed an agreement with the Municipality of the Santo Domingo Population Center, in the district of Laredo in Trujillo, to run a pilot project to set up a digital educational platform for the benefit of over 702 primary school students from Santo Domingo and Conache towns.

The agreement considers the installation of a local wireless network so that students and teachers from educational centers No. 81526 Víctor Ganoza Plaza and No. 80869 Almirante Miguel Grau Seminario, in the above locations, can access the EducACCIÓN platform, a system providing digital contents focused on developing and enhancing reading comprehension, maths and science skills.

This solution is part of a Danper pilot project for rural populations in its areas of influence can access digital educational content, overcoming poor connectivity and internet access in rural areas. Students who live within a four-kilometer radius will be able to connect to this local wireless network without using the internet.

As part of the agreement, the company will also make available to educational institutions the technological infrastructure to be installed, so that they can upload their own educational resources to the wireless system and students can access the school content identified by their teachers. To this end, the company, in addition to ITC contribution, will ensure technical support for teachers and academic monitoring for schoolchildren participating in the project.

EducACCIÓN is a Danper sustainability program that was born in 2019.
